1. Non-Veterinary & Informational Use Notice
Educational Purpose Only: All materials, articles, graphics, symptom triage charts, interactive calculators, and responses on Petplexo are provided solely for general educational and informational purposes.
No Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship: Using Petplexo does not establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). Content on this site is not a substitute for hands-on clinical diagnosis, medical treatment, or individualized advice from a licensed veterinarian. We are more of a pet parent-friendly information and guideline resource publisher that can help pet owners (or any other interested person) understand their professional pet healthcare providers better so that they can follow their advice most optimally. Petplexo facilitates better communication among pet parents and vets.
Emergency Situations: In the event of a pet medical emergency, contact your local emergency veterinary hospital or a recognized animal poison control center immediately. Do not delay emergency medical treatment based on content found on Petplexo. That is not advised under any circumstances.
2. Eligibility & User Accounts
Age Requirement: The Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your part of the world as per prevailing legal conditions). If you are under 18, you are not allowed to use Petplexo without the full control, supervision, and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Otherwise, if a minor accesses our Services and any loss is incurred as a result of that to the user, Petplexo isn’t responsible for that in any conceivable respect. It will have occurred at the sole expense of the user, who is solely liable to maintain the use of our Services out of the reach of the minor.
Account Responsibility: If you create an account, register for newsletters, or participate in community features, you agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information. 4. User-Generated Content & Code of Conduct
If you submit comments, pet stories, reviews, images, feedback, or forum posts (“User Content”) to Petplexo:
- License Grant: You retain ownership of your original User Content. However, by submitting User Content, you grant Petplexo a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and display such User Content across any media channels.
- Content Standards: You agree that you will not post, upload, or transmit any User Content that:
- Is false, misleading, defamatory, libelous, obscene, or hateful.
- Promotes animal cruelty, illegal acts, or dangerous pet care practices, ultimately harming our authority on the pet care niche and other related areas under this niche or otherwise.
- Infringes upon any third party’s patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or privacy rights. If you do that, it will be considered to have been done with full knowledge of the same, and you will be fully liable to pay for the loss in whatsoever way incurred by doing so.
- Contains unauthorized commercial promotions, spam, affiliate links, or malware.
- Moderation Rights: Petplexo reserves the right (but assumes no obligation) to monitor, edit, screen, or remove any User Content at any time without prior notice for any reason. However, if ever some harmful content sneaks into the system due to the vastness of the data our moderators have to consider at any particular point in time, any harm due to that particular User Content to our Services and any of our partners will be corrected by way of mutual settlements, arbitration, or any other way a competent court with jurisdiction has decided in our favour!
5. Interactive Tools & Calculators
Petplexo may provide interactive features such as feeding quantity tools, calorie calculators, symptom checkers, and otherwise. These tools operate on algorithmic generalized assumptions and user-entered values. Thus, any results you get are purely estimates and do not replace personalized professional veterinary consultations or expert opinions. That is why we add the disclaimer, wherever applicable, that you assume full risk and responsibility when making decisions based on calculations or output generated by our digital tools.
6. Commercial Links, Affiliates, & Third-Party Websites
Affiliate Disclosures: Petplexo may participate in affiliate marketing networks (including Chewy, Amazon Associates, pet insurance referral programs, or any other legitimate program). We earn referral fees when you purchase products or services via affiliate links on our site. However, that, under no circumstances, makes our expert opinion biased. We never manipulatively glorify any pet care products to maximize our earnings or influence opinions of end users. Our end goal is to list the best products along with the information that might help our readers or users of Services in the best way possible, among other factors.

We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume liability for third-party content, privacy policies, product safety, or vendor practices. First, it contains implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Second, we are also concerned here with guarantees that the services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, accurate, complete, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
Note: Even though our expert team members take care of everything professionally, we don’t guarantee such professionalism during emergencies outside the control of a reasonable human being.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Petplexo, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, veterinary reviewers, writers, agents, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or any other damages.
This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, data, goodwill, pet injury, veterinary expenses, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with:

- Any reliance placed on material, health advice, or calculators available on the services.
- Any third-party conduct or product recommended or purchased through linked sites.
That is because our Services are meant for the target audience at large. Any specific reliance on our information by any user might meet with disappointment because pet care is affected by multiple factors. And you are supposed to know, at your own discretion and sole responsibility, how to act optimally under a particular set of prevailing conditions affecting your pet while using our services.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Petplexo, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, veterinary advisors, contractors, licensors, and all others from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees).
To be precise, these fees originate from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, user Content postings, and violation of any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights. Where these fees apply and to what extent is the subject matter of Petplexo’s sole discretion and control without the interference from any other person unless permitted.
10. Dispute Resolution, Mandatory Binding Arbitration, & Class Action Waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court. This section applies to every user of our Services or any other person, whether implicitly or explicitly.
- Informal Resolution: Before filing a legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting our support team with a detailed written description of the issue. Most of the disputes can be mutually settled with benefits for both parties.
- Binding Arbitration: If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within sixty (60) days, any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be settled by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules or otherwise as per the specifics of the situation.
- Class Action Waiver: You and Petplexo agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.
- 30-Day Opt-Out Right: You have the right to opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions by sending written notice of your decision to us within thirty (30) days of your first use of the Services. However, this right can only be exercised after we have permitted the concerned person to do so. It depends on our sole judgment whether a person concerned under this rule will be able to exercise this right or not.

Petplexo reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. We may indicate the date of the latest revisions at the top of this page.
